“I couldn’t believe it, I just couldn’t believe it,” said Pam of York County, who won $40,000 on Tuesday, May 7, 2019 while she played the Pennsylvania iLottery game Monster Wins. “This is not real, this is not real. Oh my gosh!”

Pam said she’d only been playing for about one month and previously had won $1,400 playing that same game.

“It started out, one night I couldn’t sleep and I picked up my phone and I thought ‘Oh I’ll try this,’” she said, adding she enjoys the direct deposit feature.

When she won, Pam first told her boyfriend, who was happy to hear the news.

“What I like about playing iLottery is I’m seeing immediate results, I love pushing those buttons and watching the three or four things match up and love the noise, I know I’m like a kid,” she laughs. Pam adds that she likes the convenience, “It’s right there, I can just do it when I want.”
